Netizens have begun an online campaign for Saudi human rights activist Fadhel Maki Al-Manasif, who was arrested on Oct 2, 2011 and faces trial on April 9.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Charges against him include “stirring sedition and disorder” and “inciting public opinion against the state" for participating in a gathering in 2009.Human rights groups such as Amnesty International and activists are calling for his immediate release, saying the charges criminalise his rights to freedom of speech and assembly.They also claim he is being targeted for raising awareness about the treatment of the Shia minority in Saudi Arabia.
